Education & Training
My journey in medicine began with a deep commitment to improving lives through healthcare. After completing my MBBS, I pursued MD in General Medicine, which gave me a strong foundation in diagnosing and managing a wide spectrum of medical conditions. To advance my passion for cardiology, I went on to complete DM in Cardiology at JIPMER, Pondicherry, one of the most respected medical institutes in India.
At JIPMER, I was exposed to some of the most complex and challenging cardiac cases. This rigorous training sharpened my diagnostic acumen and procedural skills, while instilling the discipline required to deliver excellence in patient care.
Beyond formal education, I have consistently upgraded my knowledge through international fellowships, advanced training programs, and workshops focused on complex coronary interventions and structural heart disease therapies. These experiences allowed me to bring the latest global advancements in cardiology back to India, making them accessible to my patients.
Clinical Expertise
As a Senior Interventional Cardiologist, I focus on treating patients with conditions that require advanced, minimally invasive cardiac procedures. My areas of expertise include both complex coronary interventions and structural heart disease management.
Complex Coronary Interventions
Many patients come to me with advanced or previously untreatable coronary blockages. I specialize in:
Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) interventions – reopening long-standing blocked arteries
Left main and bifurcation lesions – managing blockages in high-risk, critical areas
Multivessel coronary disease – providing complete revascularization strategies
High-risk angioplasty – with support systems such as Impella and ECMO
Radial and femoral access expertise – ensuring safety and patient comfort during procedures
Structural Heart Interventions
Structural heart therapies are transforming how we manage patients who cannot undergo open-heart surgery. My expertise includes:
TAVR/TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement/Implantation) for severe aortic stenosis
MitraClip and other transcatheter mitral therapies for patients with mitral valve disease
Left Atrial Appendage Closure (LAAC) for stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation
Device closures (ASD, VSD, PDA) for congenital and acquired heart conditions
These procedures not only extend survival but also significantly improve patients’ quality of life, allowing them to return to daily activities with confidence.
